1. Lexus
The Lexus CPO program applies to pre-owned cars that are 6 years old or newer with fewer than 70,000 miles. Before a car can be officially certified, Lexus puts the car through a rigorous 161-point inspection to ensure that every part of the car looks and functions exactly how it’s supposed to. They offer a 3-year/100,000-mile warranty, lower rates on financing and leasing, and more.
2. Ford
Ford’s CPO program includes vehicles that are 6 years old or newer with no more than 80,000 miles. They offer low APR financing, fuel delivery (up to 2 gallons at no charge), 24-hour roadside assistance, rental car reimbursement, and more. Each of their certified vehicles has to pass a 172-point inspection and comes with a CARFAXⓇ Vehicle History Report.
3. Hyundai
Hyundai has been recognized for having one of the most popular programs for certified pre-owned cars since 2011. In addition to their 150-point inspection, Hyundai’s program includes a 10-year/100,000-mile limited warranty, 10 years of roadside assistance, 3 months of free SiriusXM satellite radio, and more.
4. Chevy
Chevy’s CPO program is backed under the GM Certified program. They offer like-new vehicle financing options, a 3-day/150-mile guarantee, and trip interruption protection. In order for a car to be certified, it has to undergo a 172-point inspection, covering interior and exterior features.
5. Honda
Honda requires cars to be 6 years old or newer, with fewer than 80,000 miles on the engine. They offer a 7-year/100,000-mile Powertrain warranty, plus a 12-month/12,000-mile non-powertrain warranty for additional coverage. Honda’s CPO program is transferrable and includes 3 months of free SiriusXM radio.
6. Jaguar
Each certified pre-owned Jaguar comes with a CARFAXⓇ or Experian AutoCheck Vehicle History Report. The selected cars that make it through Jaguar’s certification program must be 5 years old or newer with fewer than 60,000 miles on the engine. Jaguar offers towing, 24-hour roadside assistance, and trip interruption reimbursement in addition to its 6-year/100,000-mile warranty.
7. Chrysler
In addition to the standard 7-year/100,000-mile limited warranty, Chrysler’s program gives you the option to upgrade to their Lifetime Certified Warranty. They offer buyers a CARFAXⓇ Vehicle History Report, a 3-month subscription to SiriusXM Satellite Radio, and 24-hour towing and roadside assistance. They also provide CPO owners with service coupons and owner loyalty communications.
8. Audi
In order for a pre-owned car to be certified by Audi, it must go through a comprehensive inspection that covers over 300 points, making this one of the most exclusive programs. They offer special financing options, the ability to transfer ownership of the warranty to another driver, and 24/7 roadside assistance.
